Minuet's second trim out of shoes. After looking at the photos, I wish I had taken more toe! :-(
Left hind sole
The bar/sole material I trimmed off last time responded well (did not pop back) so I thinned it again this trim. Some of it came off easily in big flakes but I left a thin layer all the way around to make sure this mare stays comfortable while her feet remodel.
Right hind lateral view
I still want her heels to get back up and under her more, but it will take a little more time...
Right hind sole view
Same as the left front, thinning down the material but leaving a layer over the "live" sole for protection. After the trim I injected triple antibiotic cream/athlete's foot antifungal cream into the deep grooves of her frogs to combat thrush that may (probably) lurking out of sight.
Right front sole view
This frog opened up nicely from the first trim. :)
Right front oblique view
Right front lateral view
Looking nice. :)
Left front toe to heel

Starting to stand up the heels a tiny bit
Left front sole view
I beveled the walls at the quarters to encourage the new growth to come in tightly without the separation. I wish I had taken her heels down a few swipes of the rasp more...
Left front oblique
It's somewhat hard to see but this shows the beveled wall at the quarters.
Left front lateral view again, slightly different angle
There's no pressure on the toe after the trim, but I still wish I would have taken a little more of a roll because I only see this mare on a 6 week schedule.
Left front heel to toe
Left front, front of hoof
I like this view, you can see the roll and how it relieves and shortens breakover
