Cute butt
Sorry they are dark
Right hind...
Right hind - this is the source of the problems with her hoof form in the hinds. VERY contracted,
with overgrown bars and built up false sole at the toes. I've thinned them down for this trim, with the
idea that the moisture in the ground and decontraction will help the remaining material to come out on it's
own. If not, I will remove more or all at the next trim.
Right hind
Right hind. The roll at the toe makes the bullnosing seem somewhat the same, but it is a huge
thing for the function of the hoof by shortening breakover. The ripples in the wall are caused
by the contraction and shoes creating pressure/stress on the wall with nowhere for it to go
but to deform. I truly believe this will resolve itself very quickly!
Right front... very contracted
Right front. Toes can still come back but it's still the first trim...
Right front. Nice concavity.
Right front. The higher hoof of the 2 fronts, looks
pretty good!
Right front
Left hind
Left hind. Very contracted with overgrown bars and false sole, same as right hind.
Left hind. Still too much material, but we have to give the hoof the chance to do it's job.
Left hind. Less bullnosed than right... brought toes back and rolled nail holes.
Left hind
Left front. Flatter, lower hoof than RF
Left front. Just needs the toes back to help stand up the heels. Frog already
in better shape than on other feet, should improve quickly as well.
Left front
Left front. Again, toes will need to come back more over time, not too bad overall!
